During the 2011 Year in Review, President Pittman shared that Grants to Teachers awarded in May 2011 totaled $35,820.68 and represented a good cross section of all schools and classes. The Board also gave an additional grant of $5,000 to FIRST Robotics. Scholarships totaling $1,500 were given to 2 students in May 2011. CPSF supported project and fundraisers during the year to include Diamonds in the Rough Mentoring Program; McDonald’s Pancake Supper Fundraiser; Bright Smiles for Education Fundraiser; Davis Waldorf Concert Series; Challenge Day and celebrated the 25th Anniversary with a historical video and event. It was a busy year for the Foundation Board and announcements will be forthcoming about the Diamonds in the Rough scheduled for February 2, 2012 and Pancake Supper coming up on March 6th.
None of these programs or events would be possible without the loyal support of individuals, alumni, businesses and the generosity of hundreds of donors.
