Scholarship Information

CPSF annually awards the Dunnell Scholarship and Scholarships to students attending The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO).

The Dunnell Scholarship:

The Dunnell Scholarship is awarded annually.  Applicants are determined through submission of the Dunnell Scholarship Application. The annual award is $500.  The recipient may attend the college of their choice. Applicants should be a graduating CHS Senior and this scholarship will be based on academic achievement, extra-curricular activities and financial need.  The students application should demonstrate a well rounded individual including but not limited to academics, activities, work experience, goals and community activities.

C.R. & Grace L. Dunnell were leading educators in the Chickasha area.  They were long time residents of the county and taught for many years in the community.  At their passing, the family determined that the most fitting way to remember them would be to establish a scholarship in their name.  The Dunnell family has endowed this grant in such a way as to provide continuing scholarships for students in the community for many years to come.  The first gift of $500 was awarded in 1989.  This award is presented not only on scholarship and economic need but upon leadership and other activities.

The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) Scholarship:

These scholarships have been awarded since 2006.  Students qualify for this scholarship through application to USAO and by completing the CPSF Scholarship Application.  Applications for scholarship should be completed after application for admission has been made to USAO.
