CPSF annually awards the Dunnell Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 and 2 Scholarships in the amount of $500 each to students attending The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO).

Applications can be picked up in the Counselors Office at CHS or by selecting the links below.  Completed applications and attachments are due back in the CHS Counselors Office no later than Wednesday, April 6th, 2011. 

The Dunnell Scholarship:

The Dunnell Scholarship is awarded annually.  Applicants are determined through submission of the Dunnell Scholarship Application. The annual award this year is $1,000.  The recipient may attend the college of their choice. Applicants should be a graduating CHS Senior and this scholarship will be based on academic achievement, extra-curricular activities and financial need.  The students application should demonstrate a well rounded individual including but not limited to academics, activities, work experience, goals and community activities.

C.R. & Grace L. Dunnell were leading educators in the Chickasha area.  They were long time residents of the county and taught for many years in the community.  At their passing, the family determined that the most fitting way to remember them would be to establish a scholarship in their name.  The Dunnell family has endowed this grant in such a way as to provide continuing scholarships for students in the community for many years to come.  The first gift of $500 was awarded in 1989.  This award is presented not only on scholarship and economic need but upon leadership and other activities. 

The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) Scholarship:

These Chickasha Public School Foundation scholarships have been awarded since 2006.  Criteria for Students to qualify for this scholarship is through application to USAO and by completing the CPSF Scholarship Application.  Applications for scholarship should be completed after application for admission has been made to USAO. Please complete the Scholarship Application.  There are two $500 scholarships available to CPS Graduating Seniors planning on attending USAO.
