About
The CPSF is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization formed to raise funds for the Chickasha School District to ensure the continued advancement of educational opportunities. The organization is governed by a volunteer eighteen member working Board of Directors. The members of the board are made up of a cross section of the community who are caring and concerned citizens, parents, alumni, business owners, corporate partners, etc. The Directors meet monthly to review and implement the activities of the Foundation.
The Board is open to input from donors and teachers for ways to improve educational opportunities for students. Our role as a foundation is to provide a bridge for the community and alumni to give to the school system and provide funding that engages students in the learning process. Chickasha Public School teachers are committed to excellence in education and we want to help them make a difference in the lives of our students.
Contributions to the foundation enrich the academic curriculum, provide specific educational programs, and purchase instructional materials and equipment. Contributions are received throughout the year from continuing patrons and major fundraising events. Two events held annually include the Pancake Dinner sponsored generously by McDonalds of Chickasha and owner Harold Jackson and the Foundation Banquet generally held in the fall each year.
Committees consist of Fundraising & Major Donors (Supporting Activities); Long Range Planning & Nominations (Board Development); Publicity (Communications); Allocations (Grants to Teachers & Scholarships) and Finance (Tracking Income and Expenses).
New and exciting things are happening with CPSF. Stay tuned for new and innovative ways we are helping teachers and students through the tremendous support of donors and community partners.
